Black & Blue

I've sat down a dozen times, trying to come up with the perfect "hiatus-over" post.  And come up with nothing.  Instead, I'm going to jump right back in like nothing ever happened (except of course, for this short blurb.......)




The Downtown Field Jacket: JCrew
No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Dot Brocade: JCrew
Crystal Bow Cuff: JCrew
Belt: Gap (old)
Flax Pump: Nine West

Black and blue are still my two least favorite colors to combine.  Maybe it's because I feel like everything from my top to my shoes is so dark - I love wearing black, but not head to toe black - it's almost too severe sometimes.  I think next time I will go with a pair of tights with a bit more sheen to them.  What do you think?

  2. I like the outfit! Though you could definitely brighten it up a little with some tights in an unexpected color: cream or white or fuchsia, for that matter!
    I wear head to toe black all the time for school--and that's why I don't like it!

  10. I like it! If you want to change it up next time/break up all the dark, maybe try a different belt - white or another bright color? Tights with more sheen or a different color to coordinate with the belt could help to. But it's still great as-is. :)

  15. I really like the look! Even though it's all dark colors it looks well put together and the jacket and the skirt are different styles so it looks like you put some thought in.
