Narciso Rodriguez for Kohls

Pronounced Nar-siss-oh, Narciso Rodriguez recently collaborated with Kohls for their DesigNation series (next on the menu: Derek Lam, Rio - Spring 2013.)  I was pretty excited to see what this limited edition collab would be like?  Good quality at affordable prices?  Not too shabby.  Well made and flattering fits?  Pretty darn good.

Inspired by a recent trip to Turkey, Narciso Rodriguez has some surprising (read: not very promising on a hanger) pieces - great fit, great color, decent quality......


And my personal favorite:

And then there were some real misses - a top that looked like it belonged in a skating rink, a dress that looked like it belonged in Forever 21's "clubbing section", and some boring knit leggings.  Harsh, I know.  But hey!  Just because a designer collabs with a mass merchandiser's like Kohls (Target and H&M) doesn't mean they can produce crap.  Just saying.

What do you think?  Have you seen the collection yet?  How do you feel about all the designer collaborations coming out?

  5. That dress looks SO much better on you than it did on me. Too bad because that was the piece I was looking forward to most, but still did pick up a few things from the collection that I really like.
